Drawing the sky…
A date, a time, a place. We compute the real position of the stars for that instant — and turn it into something you can keep, with every calculation checkable against its sources. For a birth, the day you met, a couple, a wedding, a family, a pet, a launch, a moment of glory or a farewell.
Meet the Sky card, our signature piece

The Sky card is the heart of DISTORIA. It is a keepsake and a conversation piece in one, computed for its own moment.
- Your moment, named and placedThe date, the minute and the place you enter, with coordinates and UTC time printed on the card.
- The sky at that exact instantEvery star to magnitude 6 above that place, with the constellations and the planets where they really were.
- What the sky was doingThe Moon's phase, the planets above the horizon, the brightest star and the Sun, each in plain words.
- Its own certificate numberCheck the data behind your card at distoria.shop/verify. Delivered as a high-resolution file, with a print as an extra.
A sample card: Anna & Marco are a fictional couple.
A date, a time, a place. We compute where every star actually stood, and we show you the proof.
The sky as it truly was
Moon and planets placed within one arcminute of NASA JPL Horizons, 30 times finer than the width of the full Moon. What hangs on your wall is the real sky, not an illustration.Wherever your moment happened
A hospital in Lyon, a beach in Bali, the village your grandparents left. Every place knows the time zone it really had that day, so your sky lands on the right minute.A gift you can prove
Every Sky card ships with its own certificate and QR code. Scan it, and anyone can check the date, the place and the data behind your sky.One moment, six stories
Read your sky through six of the world's great traditions, each with its method clearly stated. The same night, told six different ways. Two births on the same day, in the same city, an hour apart. Drag the handle.

This is why we ask for the hour, why we refuse to guess between two towns of the same name, and why a reading belongs to one instant only.
There is no template. The circle, the graduations, the glyphs, the aspects: everything is drawn from your instant, and from it alone.
- Eleven celestial bodiesFrom the Sun to Pluto, plus the true node, each at its computed position, retrogradations marked.
- The anglesAscendant and Midheaven computed for your place and hour — not for the modern offset.
- The aspectsThe five major angles traced at the centre: the thicker the line, the more exact the angle.
Start with the sky itself, then add the readings you want. Each tradition has its own geometry, its own terms and its own calculation convention, stated on its card, so the result stays reproducible. Click a card to see it large.

The Sky card
Before any tradition reads it, there is the sky. The Sky card maps it exactly as it stood above your place, at your minute, and every reading below can be added to it.
- Every star to magnitude 6, with constellations and planets
- Moon phase, brightest star, local sidereal time
- Its own certificate number, checkable at distoria.shop/verify
The date, the time and the place: all three
Create my Sky card
Western
Your natal wheel: the Sun, Moon and planets in their signs, their aspects, the Moon's phase, and your Sun sign with its element, modality and ruler.
The date and timezone · a time and place add the Ascendant and the houses

Chinese — BaZi
The eight characters of your four pillars, the five elements they hold, and the combinations and clashes between their branches.
The date · a time and place add the hour pillar

Korean — Saju
The same pillars read the Korean way: each character against your day master, and your decades of luck, age by age.
The date · the decades need the time, the place and a gender

Thai
Your day of birth counted from sunrise, with its planet and colour, and the lunar mansion the Moon stood in.
The date · a time adds the mansion; a place, the true sunrise

Pythagorean numerology
Your Life Path, three name numbers, Birthday and Personal Year, with the inclusion grid and your four pinnacles.
The date · your birth name adds the name numbers

Chaldean numerology
The same card on the older table, where no letter is worth 9: your name numbers change, your Life Path never does.
The date · your birth name adds the name numbers
The sample cards are drawn for Elena Marchetti, a fictional person, born on 14 June 1992 at 09:35 in Florence.
We only offer a reading where the tradition truly offers one.
That is why a wedding has the sky and the chart of the moment, and a farewell the sky alone.
You choose your moment
A birth, a wedding, a family, a pet, a moment of glory: the moment decides which cards can be made of it, and the questions that follow.
You describe it
The date, then the time and the place where your cards need them. Nothing is guessed: a town with a namesake, or an hour that happened twice, is asked.
You receive your cards
Computed for that instant and no other, drawn, checked, and delivered to your account with their certificate number.
Cards are made in English.
The night you met. The morning you said yes. The minute your child took their first breath. The afternoon your dog came home.
Each of these moments happened under a sky that existed only once. The stars, the planets and the Moon were in a position that will never return. DISTORIA brings that sky back.
Birth form
Birth
The sky of a first instant, to the minute.
- Form
- 1 full block: date, time, place
- Certificate
- Moon phase, sunrise and sunset, day length, next solar return
- Your moment, as computedLocal time and UTC, the place and its coordinates, the time zone and the version of its database. Nothing hidden behind the drawing.
- The calculation, traceableThe engine's version, each reading's conventions, and a fingerprint of what each reading computed.
- A number and a QR codeAt /verify, the number and your moment compute each reading again and compare the fingerprints. The sky card is confirmed by its record.

Can I see my card before paying?
No, and on purpose: each card is computed for your exact instant, after you order; there is no template to fill. What you can see first are real, complete cards: the samples on this page, and your free reading on the reading page: the paragraph about you is open to everyone, and the full reading comes with a free account.
I don't know the time of birth.
You can still order most cards: noon is used, the card says so, and the Ascendant and the houses are left out rather than invented. The Sky card and a farewell need the minute. In a couple's or a family's grid, a person without a time is drawn at noon, and their cell says so. A full birth record almost always carries the time.
My town has a namesake, or I was born on a DST-change night.
The form asks exactly when that case arises. We never guess: one Springfield among thirty-four, or an hour that existed twice that night, shifts a chart by several degrees.
Where do the positions come from?
The Sky card and the certificate's additional data: NASA JPL's DE421 ephemeris, checked against JPL Horizons on our test suite. The readings: classical computation with astronomy-engine, tested against known boundaries; the engine runs 797 automated tests.
Will the form ask me all of that?
No: only what your cards need. Numerology wants the date, and the birth name for its name numbers. The Western card adds the time zone; with a time, Western, BaZi, Saju and Thai add the place. The Sky card wants the minute and the place. Picking the place fills in its coordinates and time zone.
Is it a prediction?
No. DISTORIA shows the measured state of the sky at an instant, and how six traditions read it, as a cultural reading. None of our pages or cards tells you what will happen.
